Farmers Guardian: Councillors fight back in vegan meal row

Members are launching a local food fight back, after Oxfordshire County Council’s decision to switch to plant-based only menus has been called into question. The news comes following a Countryside Alliance investigation which revealed the council did not know the origins of the plant-based menu items.


 

North Norfolk News: Bird watchers set to flock to Norfolk quarry after rare bee-eaters spotted

With their brightly coloured wings and beautiful song, a colony of bee-eaters is setting hearts a-flutter in north Norfolk. The seven birds - usually only seen in southern Europe and northern Africa - were first spied by local birdwatcher Andy Chamberlain over the jubilee weekend.
